Fantasy AJ page and a little trip away

This is my AJ entry for the Gecko Galz Fantasy challenge for June. In the centre is the free image which you need to use in order to enter. I decided the colours were echoed by this beautiful GG carved wood flower paper. I took the paper into MCS programme and then put a black border around it and put behind it another GG image which I manipulated and stretched. Printed it out and then put onto my stencilled AJ page. I mounted the free image onto the paper with a black base cut using a TL die.

We just got back from a few days away in Harrogate. We visited the ITV Emmerdale village tour, having done the studio tour in Leeds back in 2019.

It was so interesting and of course you realise the camera tricks they use to make it seem like a whole village that is spread out.

The village was relocated to land within the Harewood House estate in 1997. The estate has 4,000 acres! We went back the next day to tour the house and part of the grounds. It was far too much to do all in one day! Especially as there is a Jane Austen/JMW Turner exhibition on too.

This was my favourite room.
The ceilings are the most beautiful ones I have ever seen and so many of them. The photos do not do them justice.

and the original manuscript of what we call Sanditon by Jane Austen
There was even a ferry across the lake, you can just see it in this photo below. We caught it over and then walked back around.

This little break means I am behind on my commenting, so will hopefully catch up tomorrow.

Your journal page captures the fantasy theme beautifully! The way the free image is integrated with the carved wood flower paper creates such a captivating effect. The layering and stenciled background add wonderful depth. Looks like your trip to Harrogate was an incredible experience—love seeing all the photos and hearing about the Austen exhibition!
